It is my great pleasure and singular honour to welcome the world to Sekondi-Takoradi, the only twin city in Ghana and capital city of Western Region of Ghana, Ghana’s "Home of Solid Minerals".
As the third most industrialized city in the Country, Sekondi-Takoradi area which is the precise operations area of Shama Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly has hospitable pro-investment environment, exploitable natural resources, low cost labour and above all access to a growing local international market by utilizing its closeness to neighboring countries.
Over the years, the City authorities have put in place measures to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) by way of enacting key legislative instruments which seek to break bureaucratic constraints. Additionally, steps have been taken to provide firm investment guarantees and other mechanisms to reduce costs while cutting down delays in setting up businesses.
As you browse through this website, you shall see various Business Potentials abound throughout the length and breadth of the Metropolitan area waiting to be exploited. Beyond the investment portfolio, Sekondi Takoradi is also a tourist ’s delight. There are many tourist attractions that you will find interesting to visit.
